Audio-Visual Performance

This performance, created for the conference programme of School of Advanced Study, University of London, collaborated with Dr. Alexandra Huang-Kokina and Paul Docherty. The animation I produced with AI, is based on the literary narrative by Alexandra and the music "Beau Soir" by Impressionist composer Debussy.

The animation also draws inspiration from Paul Bourget's poetic work. It employs the Neuro Style Transfer and Difussion Model.

Beautiful evening

English translation © Richard Stokes

When at sunset the rivers are pink
And a warm breeze ripples the fields of wheat,
All things seem to advise content -
And rise toward the troubled heart;

Advise us to savour the gift of life,
While we are young and the evening fair,
For our life slips by, as that river does:
It to the sea - we to the tomb.

Et monter vers le cœur troublé;
